I lost 11kgs in 2 months and all of a sudden I am a weight losing guru...LOL...
Imagine...me! the weight lost guru!! LOL...
Neway, I just want to take this tiny weeny space to thank all my friends who supported me and are still supporting me in various ways in this journey.
A special thanks to my brother Alien. Without him, never would have acheived this. I am still in the journey...going to keep going....but now feeling extra extra motivated.
Okay, based on my experience here are some things I did....
There are two major things I did to loose weight. 1. Diet 2. Excersize
One major point to remmember is, losing weight is about changing your lifestyle.
Lets break it down.
1. Dieting.
-> Dieting doesnt mean you have to be hungry. In fact its the exact opposite. I went on a low carb diet. This means no rice and minimal(once a week) rice products(thosai, idli, kuey teow, mee hoon), no bread/buns/pastry, also no sugar at all, minimal salt.
So what do I eat?? Oats, meat, vege, fruits.
Note: Salt causes water retention that make you gain weight.
-> Know what you eat. Try to go for the food that has the least calories in the menu. Like I said, changing life style. Dieting doesnt mean you cant go out and eat...bullshit!!, go out and enjoy but know what you eat. Like for example, mee hoon is made out of rice flour thus its high in calories, opt for mee instead, bee-hoon has the least calories of all mee types. Order drinks with no sugar. If you are craving for something sweet opt for fruit juice w/o sugar.
-> Ice is enemy. Dont take iced drinks ecspecially after you eat.
-> Snack. Never let yourself fee hungry. If you are hungry, your insulin level will lower down in your body causing your metabolism to slow down. Bad. Our goal is to speed up the metabolism.
->Allow sinful indulgence once in a while. This is just to keep you motivated, if you have the will power as hard as adamantium then dont. My sinful indulgence is pork :(
Thats as far as my dieting goes. Its not that hard actually. Just make a few tweaks here and there. Like when you go to a Banana leaf restaurant, try to forgo the rice, choose stuff that are more healthy for example, choose curry chicken instaed of fried chicken. Still chicken mah!!
2. Exercise.
-> Choose a sport you like..a sport that involves physical activity. Like Badminton!. I go badminton almost once every week without fail. 2.5 hours.
->I briskly jog almost 3 km every alternate days and badminton every alternate days. But if no partner for badminton then jog la. But exercise everyday.
I would suggest cardio workouts to loose weight. Once you have your ideal weight than you can do some sculpting and toning exercise. This is just what I think la. I am no expert, seriously.
People will put you down. You have no idea what people can say. I have been through it all. Honestly I did not care. I just did what my heart told me and it paid off. Well in your face mother fuckers.
People will say stupid things that makes sense also like, climb up the stairs instead of the lift. Bullshit!! Yes it will help you loose weight but its not practical. Who wants to be all sweaty when going to work or somewhere. Faggots, thats who!!
And for the person who condemned me and said, "oh vanie, why dont you just order McDee and have it delivered to your feet so that you dont have to walk' just becuase I did not want to walk in the blithering hot sun for lunch, well.....fuck you!!
Just do what your heart says. Seriously. Remmember the end of the day, when you step on the weighing scale, it will all be worth it. Trust me!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING.. 11kg in 2 months. wish i could do the same. need to wait until next year march. Pregnant for my third one. Me, married woman and a mother of two son.. difficult to go out exercise even at home. Wish my hubby could help me out in taking care the kids so i could spare myself some time to exercise.
Ok now , what's the tips for gaining weight! :P
